Home

I awoke under my own duvet this morning, with my own cat sat in the crook of my armpit. It felt so good to be home after 7 nights on the road, visiting family and the like. I don't often feel this way about Sussex, or the house we live in. Having been here for over 5 years now, I've always felt like a visitor just passing through. But today I really felt as though I had come home.

  2. Hello Old Haberdasher! Indeed the weather is changing, my back is telling me I have overdone it in the garden today. Looking forward to really growing this year -in more ways than one.

  3. Funny you should say that as I feel very similar about being a visitor in the town I have lived in for nearly 11 years. Sometimes I feel as if I am still looking for my home, my own peace of Eden somewhere. If not Sussex, where would home be for you Sarah?

  4. I really don't know Kay, I guess home is not just a place or a house but where family, friends and memories are made. I've never stayed very long in any place apart from my childhood home in Somerset....maybe we will always be looking for home?

    1. I think you could be right there Sarah, maybe we will find our homes when we least expect it and you are right; home is not just a place or a house but where family, friends and memories are made.
